Privacy Notice
Updated at 2026-06-12
Tech Product Partners Kft (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates Clear Cache Chrome — the Chrome extension and the website at clear-browser.com (collectively, the “Service”). This notice explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Summary
- We do not require an account and do not sell your personal information.
- Extension settings, presets, and cleanup logs stay on your device in Chrome storage — we do not receive them on our servers.
- We use Google Analytics 4 in the extension to understand aggregate usage and reliability. No browsing history, URLs, or site content is sent.
- We do not currently process payments or run paid subscriptions through the Service.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for, and do not collect through normal use of the extension:
- Name or username (account registration)
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses (except when you voluntarily contact us — see below)
- Billing or mailing addresses
- Debit or credit card numbers
- Passwords
Information Stored Locally in the Extension
Clear Cache Chrome stores your configuration and operational data locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage APIs. This includes cleanup presets, whitelist entries, automation schedules, and cleanup history logs. This data remains on your device unless you uninstall the extension or clear extension data. We do not sync this data to our servers.
Google Analytics (Extension)
The extension sends anonymized usage and diagnostic events to Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) via Google’s Measurement Protocol. We use this to understand how features are used and to improve reliability. We do not use it for advertising or remarketing.
Data sent to Google Analytics may include:
- A randomly generated client ID stored locally in the extension (not linked to your Google or Chrome account)
- A session ID for grouping events within a browsing session
- Usage events, such as when a cleanup runs, which trigger was used (shortcut, schedule, manual, etc.), which data types were selected, scope mode, and counts of configured items (e.g. whitelist size) — never specific domains or URLs
- Error events with sanitized error names and messages (URLs are stripped before sending)
- Feature engagement, such as when the cleanup log viewer is opened
Google may also process technical data according to its own policies, such as IP address, device type, and browser information. We do not send page URLs, browsing history, cookies from websites you visit, or contents of sites you clear.
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from sites or apps that use Google services. You can opt out of Google Analytics in Chrome via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by uninstalling the extension.
Website
The public website (clear-browser.com) is mostly static. We do not currently embed Google Analytics or advertising trackers on the website. Standard web server or CDN logs from our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address, requested URL, and browser user agent.
If you use the contact form on the website, you voluntarily submit your name, email address, and message. Submissions are delivered to a Google Form operated by us and used only to respond to your inquiry.
Uninstall Feedback
If you uninstall the extension, Chrome may open an optional feedback survey (Google Forms). Participation is voluntary. Any information you submit there is governed by this notice and Google’s terms for Forms.
How We Use Information
- Operate and improve the extension and website
- Understand aggregate feature usage and diagnose errors
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Comply with legal obligations
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (such as Google Analytics and Google Forms for contact and feedback), and when required by law. We do not sell personal information. We do not share extension settings or cleanup logs with third parties because those remain on your device.
Data Retention and Security
Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Local extension data is deleted when you remove the extension or clear its storage. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International Transfers
Google and our hosting providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The “Updated at” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated notice.
